Royal pectoral of Ramesses III
This gilded bronze pectoral with inlay of coloured faience depicts the
sed-festival of Ramesses III. In the middle, one notices the king,
dressed in an atef-crown, at the knees the heb-sign, which signified
"festival", before the god Amun-Re sitting on a cubic seat.
The sovereign, who is accompanied by the A HREF="God" > goddess
Mut, takes the sign of the sed-festival which hangs from a curved baton
held by Amun-Re. The scene is surmounted by a border with seven uraei
wearing a solar disk and is flanked by two crowned uraei.
